• Inside Bets

  Roulette

  Bets placed on the inside part of the roulette layout, on numbers or combinations of numbers. Outside bets (e.g. black, even) have lower payout odds.

• Double Row

  Roulette

  Betting on the numbers in two adjacent rows. Pays 5 to 1 if any of the six numbers wins.

• Column Bet

  Roulette

  A roulette bet on all 12 numbers in one of three columns. Pays 2 to 1.

• Chameleon Strategy

  Roulette

  Mimicking the play or strategy of a winning roulette player.

  Synonym: Coat-tail

• Sixaine

  Roulette

  French term for a bet on the six numbers in two adjacent rows. E.g. 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21.

• Noir

  Roulette

  French for "black". In roulette, a bet on a black number.

• Three Number Bet

  Roulette

  A bet on the three numbers in one of the 12 rows. E.g. 7, 8 and 9.

• Six Number Bet

  Roulette

  A bet on the six numbers in two adjacent rows. E.g. 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12.

• Spin

  RouletteSlots

  (1) In slots, a button to start the machine reels spinning. (2) In roulette, one round of play.

• Tiers du Cylindre

  Roulette

  A bet on the 12 numbers between 27 and 33 on the wheel: 27,13,36,11,30,8,23,10,5,24,16,33.
