Placing don't pass line and/or don't come bets; sometimes resented by pass line bettors. Also called playing the "dark side".

A roll of 4, 6, 8 or 10 where the dice have different values. E.g. 6 and 2 is an easy 8 (vs a hard 8: 4 and 4).
A dealer announcement that the shooter has rolled a 7 and that therefore bets on the pass line have been lost.

A type of bet on the 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 in which the player pays a 5% commission to receive a payout at the true odds. Only useful for the 4 and 10.
