• Derniere

  Roulette

  French for last. A bet on the last 12 numbers: 25-36.

• Wheel

  HiLoRoulette

  1) In poker, A2345, the best low hand (when straights do not count for lows);

  2) The roulette wheel.

• Corner Bet

  Roulette

  A bet on four numbers. The bet is placed on the corner where the numbers meet. It pays 8 to 1.

  Synonym: Carré

• Schnaps

  Roulette

  A bet on the 11, 22 and 33.

• Zero

  Roulette

  The number 0. Not the same as 00 in American roulette, though they are the only green numbers.

• Red-Black Bet

  Roulette

  A bet on either the 18 red numbers or the 18 black ones. Pays 1 to 1.

• Parlay

  Roulette

  Increasing a bet with the winnings of the previous spin. Has essentially the same meaning in craps.

• Pair

  Roulette

  1) In poker, two cards of the same rank;

  2) In roulette, a bet on the even numbers (vs impair for the odd numbers).

• Odd-Number Bet

  Roulette

  A bet on the odd numbers. Pays 1 to 1.
