Rules and Payouts

There are two types of bets: AA and Ante one. You can place a bet on both of them or only on one bet, it is up to you. After that, you and a dealer receive two cards each and 3-card flop. If you are satisfied with your hand, you can call your bet, see two additional common cards and compare your hand with the dealer’s to see who is the winner. The dealer can win only if he has a pair of 4s or higher, and his hand is stronger than player’s one.

Winning combinations are the same as in classic poker, but payouts are different:

  • Royal Flush (100:1);

  • Straight Flush (20:1);

  • Four of a Kind (10:1);

  • Full House (3:1);

  • Flush (2:1);

  • Straight or lower (1:1).

Please note that AA bets win only if you have a pair of Aces in first five cards of a hand. Payouts for AA bets are the following:

  • Royal Flush (100:1);

  • Straight Flush (50:1);

  • Four of a Kind (40:1);

  • Full House (30:1);

  • Flush (20:1);

  • Straight or lower (7:1).

Optimal Strategy Tips

There are a lot of possible combinations so that it is better to find strategy calculator and use it throughout the whole play. Despite that we can provide you with some playing tips, recommended by experienced players:

  • You should play about 82% of your hands, other 18% of hands should be folded. This means that you should not continue playing with fairly weak hands, like 7, 2 or 8, 4;

  • If you have a pair or better, you should call;

  • Call with Ace and King;

  • If you have straight or flush, you should certainly call;

  • If there is a pair on the flop, and you have not got any matching cards, you should fold unless you have four cards to straight or flush.

Our Take

Casino Hold’em was introduced in 2000 by Stephen Au-Yeung, a successful player with numerous gambling titles. The idea of this game appeared, when he was trying to teach his girlfriend how to play Texas Hold’em. A lot of players ask what the difference between these two classifications is. Actually, they are quite similar, but for the fact that the reviewed Hold’em is played only against the dealer. There are no other players at the table so that the hand goes relatively fast. In addition to this variation of table pokers, we can recommend you playing Texas Hold’em Bonus Poker, Pai Gow, and Caribbean Stud.
