We Want Players to Be as Excited about the Games We Choose as We Are

World’s Biggest Online Casino Videoslots Talks About the Latest Company News and More

In the ever-changing and always competitive e-gaming industry the team of Videslots always manages to stay ahead of the race. How do they do it? We decided to stop wondering and contacted the brand directly. Miles Saacks, the executive affiliate manager, talks about important company changes, criteria for selecting developers for the library, as well as Videoslots’ unique approach to treating players.

Videoslots Casino has recently shared important news items. One that we would like to start with is the appointment of William Ahlberg as the new Head of Games. Official sources assign Mr. Ahlberg a “pivotal role” in the development of the department. What is on the agenda of the newly appointed executive and what makes him so right for the job?

William was part of the games team for many years in a more junior role. When his boss was also promoted, he was the obvious choice. William knows games, he understands the mechanics, knows what players want from a good game. He has all the skills and passion to make it a success and make this role his own. I have no doubt that William will prove to everyone that he was the correct choice. He is very dedicated and ambitious person and fits the role impeccably. He wants to keep growing the games on Videoslots to ensure that we retain our position as the biggest online casino and keep increasing the amount and style of releases we offer. He is very keen also to explore new studios and what they can offer our brand. He loves tech and will pursue every opportunity.

You have also inked a deal with Iron Dog Studio, so players should expect additional content, which is exciting! How many software developers have you collaborated with so far, and what makes a studio a perfect candidate to join the Videoslots library?

When we choose a new supplier we look for innovation and gamification, we want players to be as excited about the games we choose as we are. They need to show something different and create games that open players’ minds and give them a wow factor.

We currently have a portfolio of almost 70 suppliers and offer almost 2200 variations of games. It’s huge! When we choose a new supplier we look for innovation and gamification, we want players to be as excited about the games we choose as we are. They need to show something different and create games that open players’ minds and give them a wow factor. Impressive designs and graphics, and a lot of features are also something we would look at before choosing a new supplier. The people behind the business are also important to us so we ensure that we have a connection with our account managers or the owners that goes beyond just being suppliers and most of these become good friends over time.

The philosophy of Videoslots is “by-players-for-players”. Within this mission, what are the key factors that you pay attention to?

We are transparent, and have even done office tours for our gamers that happen to be on vacation in Malta or have asked to see us. This makes us unique.

Videoslots has always been an operator for players. We offer them the chance to hang around, have fun, play longer and are always innovating and inventing new ways to do this. Currently we have the now famous battle of slots, our week races, weekend booster, all of which give back to players and add to their play time. There are more great innovations on their way so watch this space. We treat all players the same. There are No VIPs here, and we prefer more users playing more often. We are transparent, and have even done office tours for our gamers that happen to be on vacation in Malta or have asked to see us. This makes us unique.

Based on your experience, what games are most popular among the community right now? Slots, table games, video poker? And of course, do the gamers prefer content from tech giants, or is the modern tendency to explore entertainment from smaller and newer studios?

Slots is by far the core component of our business although we have table games and parlor games and are adding a poker product soon. The community likes slots for their entertainment, value, and the fun, and thrills they provide. There is no better feeling that hitting a feature and winning extra free spins or multiplier etc. Me personally, I’m a skills game man and prefer poker and blackjack, but I fully understand the draw slots have and the reason players love them especially in the modern era where games are just becoming more and more relates and offering players far more innovative features. The big guns like NetEnt etc. will always produce quality products, but the smaller studious are in there for the fight and are competing no doubt by producing some quality games. Among such are Elk, Thunderkick etc.

With a collection of over 2,200 games in the library and multiple awards, you are undoubtedly one of the leaders of the e-gaming industry. What does it take to be ahead of the competition?

Innovation and gamification. You have to always be looking for the next great idea, something to catch the eye of players and keep them entertained. At Videoslots we are all about these ideas and will keep producing new and exciting aspects into our casino, it’s the only way you can stay one step ahead of the competition as after all its players that keep the doors open and the lights on as they say

What is your opinion of the e-gaming industry and its future? Will there be a place for the brick-and-mortar casinos in the future, and what are the things that the online operators have yet to improve upon that will make the gaming experience better?

There will always be space for the brick and mortar casinos. People enjoy going out with friends and socializing, having a bite to eat at a fancy restaurant, or watching a big show - all things brick and mortar casinos can offer that we can’t, so yes they will always be around. I think its key to understand that players are what drives our business and the biggest thing online casinos can do to improve is to make sure their level of customer service is at its best if you look after your customers they will look after you.
